What is the Home Energy Challenge –
Photo Scavenger Hunt Edition?
The Home Energy Challenge – Photo Scavenger Hunt Edition is a program for families with K-12 students living in an Eversource community in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Connecticut. This fun and easy project invites students and families to work together to explore energy at home, in their communities, and even on vacation, snapping pictures of energy items around them and creating a digital or paper collage file. One lucky student per state will be randomly selected to win an Apple iPad!
Once registered, Eversource will provide students with one task kit per family that includes materials needed to participate in the Home Energy Challenge – Photo Scavenger Hunt Edition.

What will the students learn?
The Home Energy Challenge – Photo Scavenger Hunt Edition and accompanying lessons will explore how energy is all around them. Energy is in living things and makes them move and grow. Energy is in lights, sounds, and motion. Energy sources power their lives, charge their phones, and make their vehicles move.
Students are encouraged to share photos during the Home Energy Challenge – Photo Scavenger Hunt Edition by posting photos of them working on their projects on their parents’ social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X) using #HomeEnergyChallenge, and tagging Eversource in their state: @EversourceMA, @EversourceCT or @EversourceNH.*
*Posting on social media doesn’t increase your chances of winning.
ELIGIBLE TOWNS
The Home Energy Challenge is open to all families with K-12 students in towns served by Eversource in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Connecticut (see “List of Eligible Communities,” below).

Parents can register their kids using the form below. They will then receive a confirmation email with project and submission instructions.

Registration for the Home Energy Challenge runs from June 3 to June 28, 2024. A parent or guardian 18 years or older must register students. After your registration has been received, you will receive an email explaining the submission instructions. For additional information or questions, email info@homeenergychallenge.com.
Submission
After your registration has been received, you will receive an email explaining the submission instructions.
1. Complete the project included in the kit
2. Take a photo of students working on the project and post on social using provided hashtag
3. Email or mail final form to be entered to win – include photos with the final form
Task Entries and Entry Forms must be postmarked by July 30, 2024 and received by July 31, 2024 or submitted online no later than July 31, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
